Dreamshift

I'm too excited to not post a second dream.. However eventually I'll get into some decently spaced out program of posting semi-regularly. For older dreams I can only post what I wrote previously, and for some my recording has been, shall we say less than ideal. Still, as part of this dream-sharing experiment I will present them as remembered at the time of writing. (Pride be dashed!) My subconsciousness is a strange place. The following is likely really at least two different consecutive dreams, apparently people often have from 3-7 'full' dreams, whether you recall them or not. Dreams begin as brief flashes and become longer and more cohesive the deeper you sleep, according to my research. This seems to be true for me, and is also dependent on the state of sleep you are able to reach. I ramble..

Nov. 20, 2010

Tara, Karen, Jason, Matt and I are sharing a room in a hostel, we are on or in the beds, going to sleep soon. We are talking about people and rights, and children soldiers. Jason is playing devils advocate. The next morning I am on my own, it is fall, somewhere in Europe, but still warm. I am sitting in a cafe looking out an open window onto the sidewalk patio. In front of me is a planters box. A young woman has a clear container partially filled with some sort of liquid. Into it she is placing shoots, small plants and mushrooms surrounded by bits of soil and moss that she is plucking from the planters box. She explains it is part of a botany experiment and assignment. The plants would grow and their development could be seen in detail in the special container & fluid.

The dream shifts to a clash between activists and the military, still in Europe. The activists are protecting intelligent nano robots of unknown origin. The military wants to destroy the nano-bots as they are perceived as a threat. By the time the military get through to the nano bots, which had previously shaped themselves into four or five small (red and metal) strange vehicle-like forms, they find only shells. The activists (for better or worse) had given the nano life forms time to discretely pour out unseen to escape.

Again the dream shifts to a base in deep outer space. The base is occupied by imperial soldiers. There are rebels attempting to accomplish a mission on the large station. One of the rebels has been captured,  his captors are interrogating him. They even burn the imperial insignia into him. However, this rebel withstands their methods and reveals nothing to them. It is Luke Skywalker, he is wearing the light brown uniform he wore on Dagobah. The imperial officer in charge contacts Darth Vader to deal with him. Vader's presence clouds Luke's mind, although he does not give him any useful information he is unable to resist the power and lure of his father. Luke knows that the other rebels on the base need time to accomplish their mission, he uses his own weakness to give them time and distract Lord Vader (who is going to try a different technique to gain information from his son). The rebels obtain the data they need and take Vader by surprise, giving them the ability to drag Luke out of his influence and escape.
