Dear reader,
If you know me personally you may be familiar with my tendency to have vivid and often strange and intriguing dreams. Many of them seem like pieces of larger stories, glimpses into other realms. Here I wish to share my dreams because they fascinate me and perhaps they will amuse you as well. I will not attempt to post them in any particular order as I dig through my dream archive, but this first one is a very recent one. Some dreams will be given in point form, but when I can I will attempt to record them here in a manner that allows you to enjoy the story-like quality that I so enjoy about some of my dreams. I end where my memory does, though I may speculate from impressions and feelings and "given" knowledge to fill in gaps where I can. (The date posted is the date of the morning I recalled the dream from the night previous.)

The dream focuses on a young couple in the future. It is a world that seems to blend advanced technology with a somewhat impoverished and overcrowded population. Clothes resemble fashions that are out-dated and hand-made in our own time. It begins on a cool morning, the young woman standing with her back to front of a stationary "train". She is wearing a long muted green-brown wool coat, an old fashioned hat with a small front brim and her long scarf hangs over her shoulders. She has tousled short dark blonde hair. It is an important event, the launch of a new concept, and her partner is the pilot of the new "train" vehicle. Mist or smoke shrouds his vehicle. Up ahead there is a crowd of people waiting to give the vehicle a sendoff, waving and cheering. The young woman wants to be the first he sees (and make sure he knows she was there to wish him well) and waves to him as the vehicle emerges from the cloud. He launches off to begin his mission. - The dream jumps forward, it is night and fog fills the narrow streets. There has been a terrible accident. The young man is badly hurt and miraculously finds his way to their apartment meeting no one on the way and without clearly remembering how he got there. Their apartment building is one of many identical concrete buildings with many stories and packed closely in various states of repair. No one is home, and he collapses on the floor and loses consciousness. When he wakes up he is very sore and stiff, as he foggily pulls on a heavy knit navy linen sweater he realizes that his injuries are gone as if the wicked gashes and burns had never occurred at all. - As time moves forward in the dream a strange mystery begins to unfold. The couple decide it is best for him to stay hidden in their apartment, no one has tried to contact her about the accident. When she goes to quietly investigate, there is no news and no documentation of the accident. In fact, no record of the project even exists. The deeper she looks the less there is to find. Until she discovers that all record of her partners existence has vanished without a trace. When she tells him, they realize something deeper is going on, "they" (the company?) must not know he made it out alive. (There is the impression that although the accident occurred far away it would have taken immense effort to hide it, and possibly many people died.)
