Of Heroes

These complex imagined world dreams are truly those I enjoy most! Adventures, interesting characters and otherworldly creatures and beings. Hurrah!

April 25 2012

It was prophesized that the baby Gato would be the one to defeat the evil and powerful man that threatened the peaceful existence of the people. At a young age the enemy tried to assassinate Gato, but the plot was foiled. When Gato was young one of the best in their art of fighting appeared to train him. Although some of his tutor’s mysterious skills eluded him. Gato lives in a mountain near to one of the central cities.

However our story follows the young Yoshi, who is raised by disciplined monks who teach him the way of the honourable warrior. With them he learns some of the mysteries and drawing on good energy possesses mysterious skills. He grows up in a lush valley area where humans and other intelligent beings live peacefully together. (these people are very different in form from humans). One day his masters receive an urgent message from the monks from the central mountains. They quickly bring Yoshi to the mountain. Gato and Yoshi meet, and the monks reveal to them that they were switched as babies to save the real Gato (Yoshi) from assassination, knowing the enemy would know the boy living here was not the one they truly sought. Both young men laugh to discover their real names, each having grown up with the other’s name, and choose to keep the name they grew up with as each is more appropriate to the region they grew up in and can’t imagine changing now.

Late one night Gato’s mysterious tutor appears and immediately Yoshi knows he is the enemy. Gato is shocked to discover this and it soon becomes clear that he could not learn his master’s mysteries because he was drawing on evil energy and Gato was truly good. Gato wishes to join Yoshi, but the enemy, though cruel has become fond of Gato and quickly eliminates him from the fight.

That is all I can remember except that Yoshi must have won as there is a scene where his friends join the parade at the edge of the tree-village near the central city. (Surprising many human-folk by their strangeness and some by their enormous size, only a few, smaller non-humans live in the central cities).

And I also tell Matthew about my dream in my dream. And have a dream about Matthew and I that eludes me now.
